Exams are now in full swing and it seems like an ideal time to remind you all about your own wellbeing. Please do not neglect yourselves during this time because in order to perform well in exams you need to take care of yourselves. Please see below for some useful services available to you during this time:
The University of Exeter has its own designated team to help students with their own wellbeing whilst studying at the University of Exeter. Take a look at the Wellbeing Services website to see which support services are available to you:
Get some exercise
If you are feeling weighed down with revision and exams then allow yourself a break to help refocus your mind. Taking part in physical activity helps to stimlulate various brain chemicals which leave us feeling more relaxed, especially after a stressful day. The Sports Park has uploaded the term three fitness class timetable for all members/non members. If you fancy a swim then the Cornwall House swimming pool is now open daily until September.
It’s also a great opportunityto get out and enjoy the walks around Devon and take advantage of the sun coming out. Buses run to Dartmoor on a daily basis and set walks are also available to take part in both in and around the Exeter area. A great way to enjoy some fresh air.
Something to look forward to
Everyone needs a ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ and something to look forward to during exams. Take a look at the Residence Life Team event pages which provides information on forthcoming events including a trip to Stonehenge/Salisbury on 18 May and the Spring Break Summer Ball on 30 May 2016.
Next week’s accommodation blog will be looking into our forthcoming open days and planning your departure from accommodation.
