We have been seeing a number of you in our drop-in sessions this week and you have been asking a variety of questions. Take a look at the answers to the most common questions below:
Request to move
Those students who have submitted a ‘Changing Room or Residence‘ form (via SID) and are placed on our request to move list, then please note, we are working through this and will be in touch with you once we have availability.
If you have placed yourself on the waiting list to move rooms but are now settled where you are, please let us know and we will remove your details. For 2017/18 there is a £50.00 movement charge for students who move rooms.
Essential external maintenance and shower works
Many of you will be aware that essential repairs and improvement works, are scheduled to take place on a number of blocks located at both our Lafrowda and Birks Grange Village residences during the 2017/18 academic year.There are two main categories of works planned:

Residence Life Team
Are you feeling a little isolated or homesick? Is university not what you expected? Are you experiencing issues with noise? If you have any concerns about university life then our Residence Life Team are available to speak to and to offer their advice and support.
The Team also run events throughout the year – this week they have been handing out free cupcakes to students living within University accommodation and this will continue next week. They have already visited Exeter Halls, Northernhay House and Lafrowda and they will visit the following residences, with cupcakes on the dates given:
- Rowancroft – 28 September
- The Printworks – 29 September
- Birks Grange Village – 2 October
- James Owen Court – 3 October
- Northfield – 4 October
- Holland Hall – 5 October
- St David’s (Brunel Close, Kingdom Mews and Point Exe) – 6 October

Our Accommodation drop-in sessions will be running from 9:00am-5:00pm until Friday 29 September. From Monday 2 October, we will be available between 10:00am-4:00pm Monday to Friday.
