Room numbers and contract dates

Today’s blog is going to update you on your room numbers and all things contractual. We’ll try to make it more exciting than it sounds…

Seeing your room number when you register?
We understand that some of you can now see your room numbers upon completing your online registration. Please note that these room numbers are still subject to change until you arrive with us and receive your room key. Your residence and block will remain unchanged.

If you are thinking of ordering an essentials pack through Click2Campus then these packs can be delivered to your accommodation reception in time for your arrival. Seeing as you will not receive your room number until you arrive, we recommend that you include your nine digit Student ID number and provide your residence block and address. This information can be found on each individual self-catered or catered residence page and will be delivered and held at the reception until you arrive with us.

What are the accommodation contract length dates?
Students within self-catered residences are able to remain in their accommodation for the full length of the contract. Students living within our catered accommodation then please note the contract length is ‘term time’ only and students are required to vacate for the Christmas and Easter vacation. Belongings can stay in the room at Christmas but at Easter, in some residences which will be confirmed nearer the time, some residences require students to vacate and take their belongings with them. There are different contract lengths attached to different self-catered residences, so please ensure you check your residence information on our website before completing your application. The contract lengths are:

  • 32 weeks – available from Sunday 16 September 2018 until Saturday 15 June 2019 – see our website for vacation departure information.
  • 40 weeks – available from Sunday 16 September 2018 until Saturday 22 June 2019
  • 42 weeks – available from Sunday 16 September 2018 until Saturday 6 July 2019
  • 43 weeks – available from Sunday 16 September 2018 until Saturday 13 July 2019
  • 44 weeks – available from Sunday 16 September 2018 until Saturday 20 July 2019
  • 51 weeks  – available from Sunday 16 September 2018 until Saturday 7 September 2019

Please remember that although contracts start on 16 September, students are able to arrive for our Arrivals Weekend at various points over 14-16 September. Please refer to our terms and conditions 2018/19 for information.

If you are in one of our nominated residences, please check your contract directly with them for dates of arrival and departure.
