We hope you are having a good week so far. It looks like summer is finally here and we can enjoy the sunshine again. In today’s blog, we are talking about room offers and a quick refresher on where to look for information on our website to answer your FAQ’s.
International Baccalaureate students
If you are an International Baccalaureate student applying for accommodation, we are currently processing applications and you should hear from us by the end of July. If you are waiting on your results, the Admissions team are advising students that if you have not heard by Thursday 11 July, check the UCAS Track and if you are still unsure, please contact Admissions directly.
Results information is received by departments at different times. For example, if you received your IB results on Friday 5 July, Admissions received this information on Saturday 6 July. This means that the Accommodation Office might not receive the information we need to continue processing your accommodation application until the following week when this is updated on our system. Information is not uploaded and shared instantaneously between departments and systems, so please be mindful that this might just take a few days.
We are currently processing accommodation applications and sending room offers out to students who meet the requirements of our Accommodation Guarantee. Please keep checking your account for updates from us. When room offers are sent out, you will receive an email and there is as an expiry date which gives you a deadline of between 3-5 days to respond.
We understand that you might be travelling this summer or going on holiday. If you have limited access to the internet while you are away, we would suggest sharing your accommodation log-in details with someone you trust so that they can log in and check updates for you.
During the summer as we process applications, please make sure you check your account regularly as this will help to make sure you do not miss important updates from us.
If you are having difficulty logging into your accommodation account, please try these hints and tips first to see if they help:
- Check you are using the correct email address and password (the same details you used to register your account)
- Try logging in on a different device, a laptop or computer, and see if this makes a difference
