Callum Walsh

Callum Walsh is studying for a PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Exeter Medical School, working under the supervision of Dr Jon Brown and Prof Andy Randall.

Callum graduated from the University of Bristol with an MSci in Pharmacology with Study in Industry, during which he worked for a year in Neuroscience Drug Discovery at Janssen Pharmaceuticals in Belgium. At Janssen, the focus of his research was on the discovery of preclinical functional biomarkers of Alzheimer’s disease, specifically using advanced EEG techniques.

During his PhD, Callum will be using a wide range of electrophysiological techniques to investigate the functional consequences of impaired neural network oscillations in models of Alzheimer’s disease and Frontotemporal dementia.
