Staff Festival 2017 - Apprenticeships

Posted by on 27 June 2017

IMG_3870Today was our Staff Festival at Streatham and St Luke’s campus at the University of Exeter.

The aim of your Staff Festival 2017 was to celebrate everything well-being at the University of Exeter.  The day was an opportunity to discover the vast array of well-being expertise, knowledge, activities and support that we currently provide at the University.

Events included: Jungle run, cream tea, it’s a knock out, bee walk, pond dipping, moth trap and bat walk, biodiversity trail, guided walks, deck chairs, giant games and a live band.  There were a number of stalls for staff to browse including our apprenticeships stall.

It was great to see our staff engaging with apprenticeships today, not just those who were thinking abut recruiting apprentices and wanted to find out more, but also those who were considering an apprenticeship for their own personal development.  As it is PDR time, the timing is right for our staff to identify apprenticeship opportunities for themselves and their teams.

  • Anyone over the age of 16 can do an apprenticeship – There are no upper age limits.
  • No changes to salary.
  • No cost to the apprentice or their colleges/service (eligible apprenticeship training costs).
  • Gain new knowledge and skills through completion of an apprenticeship.
  • Gain additional qualifications and transferable skills to bolster CVs.
  • Various Higher and Degree level apprenticeship opportunities available.  Click here for the A-Z of apprenticeships.

Current staff can find out more about apprenticeships on our website.
