More fungus spotting on Campus, this time at the roots of a huge (30m+) Douglas fir at Duryard.  a Picus survey has shown that there is significant damage to the interior of the tree.  This is a veteran tree, thought to be planted around the middle of the 19th Century, which also has a Tree Protection Order on it, so we are hoping we can avoid having to fell the tree by reducing the weight in the crown of the tree and by bracing it.
