The HOWS Project – Human Computer Optimisation for Water Systems Planning and Management
HOWS is a three-year EPSRC-funded project run by the University of Exeter's Centre for Water Systems. The overall aim of the project is to develop a new approach for the near-optimal, engineering-intuitive design and management of water systems using Artificial Intelligence (AI). This is achieved through the use of interactive evolutionary algorithms, expert knowledge-based heuristics, visual analytics and feedback-informed machine learning.
