The IMP@CT consortium this week visited the Olovo Mine in Bosnia and Herzegovina, for a two day workshop hosted by Mineco, one of the Consortium partners. Delegates were shown the mine site and guided underground by Mineco staff. Workshops on the social and economic situation of the region, processing and metallurgy, infrastructure, mining methods and geology were conducted throughout the first day, with the second day being devoted to in- depth specialist meetings. The group then relocated to Sarajevo, where they were invited to the British Ambassador’s Residence for an opportunity to meet regional mining authorities and stakeholders at a special reception. Read more.
