Tenure-Track, Assistant Professor in International Development and Economic Policy, Texas A&M University – College Station

The Department of International Affairs in the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University invites applications and nominations for a tenure-track, assistant professor position in the broad area of International Development and Economic Policy. We are open to the candidate’s area of expertise, which may include development economics, politics and institutions of developing countries, international political economy, comparative political economy, and other relevant areas. We welcome applicants with different regional expertise, with a preference for those focusing on Latin America. The successful candidate is expected to have a strong research portfolio commensurate with their academic trajectory, and teach at least one section of the required course in introductory-level quantitative methods and an intermediate quantitative methods course. Bush School faculty exclusively teach master’s degree graduate students in international affairs in a standard 2-2 load. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Political Science, Economics, or Public Policy by September 2019. The individual selected will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and research in the context of a public policy graduate school environment. The start date for this position will be September 1, 2019.
