Licence-in document

We need to handle IPR coming in as well as going out so we reasoned that we need two distinct licences! Licence-indefines the terms under which a contributor gives us material. Licence-out is in effect the Creative Commons process of defining permissions on usage.

Our Licence-In document is now available from: http://projects.exeter.ac.uk/oer/wp05.htm.   It has been primarily written by our Head of IPR, in Corporate Services, in conjunction with our University lawyers.

At first sight, the Annex (i.e. from Pg3 onwards) looks rather scary. It is necessarily written in legal language but may not be readily understood by potential contributors. So, the first two pages, which do also form part of the legal document, have been written in more colloquial language, providing necessary reassurances.

I’d value comments on whether you too have felt it necessary to have this sort of document and if so, how you have handled it.
