Encouraging the Take-Up of Data Analytics in Schools

Date: Thursday 13 February 2020 (9am – 2pm)

This is the culmination of a project Exeter University have been running through their School of Education with local schools (Primary, Secondary College and Exeter Maths School) and the Met Office.

It is a half-day event that will showcase free new teaching materials developed in partnership with colleagues in Spain and Turkey and developed in partnership with the ERASMUS+ strategic Partnerships Programme. The aim being to make data analytics in schools more approachable. It includes workshop sessions where we will share our experience of teaching data analytics and demonstrate our newly developed materials which will be free to use from our new toolkit.

Welcome to the Exeter Secondary Mathematics PGCE blog. The blog has been set up in order to develop a community of practice around the maths teacher training course here at Exeter. Information that is useful for maths PSTs (priniciple subject tutors) working with our trainees will be shared here as well as things that are more widely useful to alumni and all those that are involved or have been involved with the course.
