TechNetIST

There is still time to register for the IST annual Conference, which is being held this year in Leicester on 14th September at the Mercure Grand Hotel.

Full details of the Technical Conference can be found on the IST website (https://istonline.org.uk/ist-conference-2017/)  along with a booking form.

The Conference is specifically tailored to the technical community and it is a great opportunity to network with technical colleagues from within science, engineering, technology, arts, media and IT.

It’s also a perfect event to add to your CPD portfolio.

Early bird discount rates are available until the 21st of July – and last year demand was so high they had to close the delegate list early, so don’t wait, book your place today!

Keynote Speakers:
Professor Anu Ojha OBE, Director of the UK’s National Space Academy programme and a Director of the National Space Centre – the UK’s largest visitor centre for space science and astronomy.

Dr Turi King, Reader in Genetics and Archaeology at the University of Leicester, will be enthralling us about her work leading ‘The King’s DNA analysis in the Richard III identification project.

There is a great line up of 15 workshops throughout the day, delivered by technicians and experts alike. Helen Sharman OBE FRSC (IST President) will be leading an “interactive” workshop to engage with you on “What do you want from YOUR professional body and how you would like to see it develop over the coming years”.

Workshops:

Please see the final conference programme pdf for full details of all the exciting workshops on offer.

The Conference has been specifically organised for technicians, technologists, technical supervisors, laboratory/service managers and technical managers, so why not come along and enjoy the day!
