Digital photo frames were always a pricey affair, and for what they offered it was hard to justify the expense. But with a few tweaks, they may well be a big part of the future of how we consume digital information.
Some of the latest frames you can buy now include their own storage capacity, wi-fi and enough processor power to do a wealth of other tasks. More than just fancy alarm clocks with images, they can connect to your Facebook account and even show your favourite videos.
The days of just accessing the web through a standard PC may well be numbered, and we can expect to see many more devices with internet connectivity in the future. Interaction wise we therefore need to start to think about how our own creations can be perceived and interacted with on such a broad spectrum of devices, and whereabouts we might want to end up.
