If you’ve not come across Wordle it’s worth a look – a great tool for visualising complex text data sets. Here is one I prepared earlier (!) for Exeter Universities top 500 keywords (minus the words Exeter and University – they just skew the results too much)
Fascinating visualisation of historical browser market share here. The data is coming from w3schools, which does tend to be skewed towards techies (i.e. more Firefox users, for example) so should not be treated as a globally relevant sample, but for change over time there’s a lot of good data displayed very cleverly.
