In my personal life I was recently on the receiving end of a social media campaign that was commissioned by the RSPCA. Seems they’d found my food blog, The Sunday Roaster, and thought I was worth contacting in order to spread the word. It’s been a long running campaign, well over a year, but I was impressed at how well it was managed so did a little digging behind the scenes and found out that it was created by a company called Nixon McInnes. As I was wandering through their website I came across a useful set of eBooks on web 2.0, primarily aimed at marketers, but written in an open and engaging style which I think has wider appeal.
At the moment the books cover Social Media, Analytics, Buzz Monitoring, Mashups, RSS, Web Widgets, Business Blogging, and give a good basic intro to each of these topics. There are more in the pipeline too, so worth signing up for if you find them interesting. You’ll find them here:
