Catered residents
Are you arriving in catered halls this weekend and want to know when your meals will start? The first meal available will be brunch on Saturday 12 September.

Visitors are welcome to pay for a meal in catered halls this weekend. See our Welcome Weekend Brunch Menu for further information. Brunch is available between 12noon-2:30pm on Saturday 12 September and between 11:15am-2:30pm on Sunday 13 September.

Waiting list and room move update
For those students who were placed on our pre-arrival waiting list to be notified if a room became available prior to arrivals, please note that list is no longer in use. From our experience, once students students have arrived and settled into their accommodation, have begun making new friends and have got to know their living environment a bit better, they soon do not want to move.

Should you still wish to move rooms and want to be placed on our term time waiting list please log an enquiry in the following way:

  • In your Exehub portal, go to the Ask SID tab and click the Go To SID button.
  • You can then log an enquiry via SIDOnline, using the Accommodation: Changing room or residence FAQ pages.
  • After clicking ‘Log an enquiry’ from these pages you should see a form to complete with a series of drop down menus.
  • Please complete and submit the enquiry, and we will respond to you as soon as possible regarding availability of rooms.

Please be advised that we do not process any move rooms for approximately two weeks and then we will advise you if a room move is suitable in accordance with availability and priority.

Keeping up to date
This is the last day of our daily blog posts and we shall be returning to posting a weekly blog post from Wednesday 16 September at 10:00am and every Wednesday thereafter until the end of term. We will keep you up to date with important accommodation announcements and events.

If you need to speak to a member of the Accommodation Office then come along to our drop-in sessions. We will be available for the next two weeks between 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday to Friday. You can join our queue by visiting the Student Information Desk in The Forum and then have an appointment with us.

If we are unavailable and you need any support or advice then don’t forget that the Residence Life Team are available and are there to help you settle in.

We welcome you all to the University of Exeter and to our accommodation and we hope you enjoy your stay. You may find this blog post written by a former Fresher of ours of interest.
