Applying, arrivals and awaiting deposit

This week we have once again received a number of emails from students about their accommodation deposit and we hope that the message below will help to reassure you. We are also looking into how to apply for accommodation and what happens on our Arrival’s Weekend.

I’ve paid my deposit but application is still showing “Accepted – await deposit”
Once you pay your deposit, it can take up to 2 working days for a deposit to be processed. Your accommodation account may still show “Accepted – await deposit” even if you have already paid. Please note that your offer will not expire as long as you have accepted the contract. If you have not received a confirmation email after three working days, then please do not hesitate to contact us and we will look into this for you. You can find out how to track your application on our website.

Remember that if you pay your accommodation deposit on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, this will not be confirmed by us until the Monday following payment (at the earliest).

How to apply for accommodation
Many enquiries are coming in from students who are now receiving university offers and have a firm place to study on a course at the University of Exeter for 2016. If this is you and you now wish to apply for accommodation, I would strongly recommend you read our April blog post  which provides information on how to apply. Please note that as long as you fall within our Accommodation Guarantee and apply before 31 July 2016, you will be guaranteed a bed space.

We often use our Facebook page to keep you up to date with any announcements or to answer any frequently asked questions and is our first port of call to update you on information throughout the week. If you don’t have a Facebook account then don’t worry, we also have a live stream of our posts which show on the right hand side of our Accommodation website, so you won’t miss out.
