Changing room or residence
From today, the ‘Changing room or residence’ list is now available in SID in order for students to be added to our waiting list should another room become available. From our experience, once students have arrived, settled into their accommodation, began to make new friends and have got to know their living environment a bit better, they soon do not want to move.
Should you still wish to move rooms and want to be placed on our term time waiting list please log an enquiry in the following way:
- Login to SID with your IT username and password. You can then log an enquiry via SID Online, using the Accommodation: Changing room or residence FAQ pages.
- After clicking ‘Log an enquiry’ from these pages you should see a form to complete with a series of drop down menus.
- Please complete and submit the enquiry, and we will respond to you as soon as possible regarding availability of rooms.
Once a request to move has been submitted, students will receive a confirmation email from a member of the Accommodation Office*.
Please be advised that room moves are dealt with in accordance with availability and priority and therefore, we may not be able to assist immediately with a student’s request.
Keeping up to date
This is the last day of our daily blog posts and we shall be returning to posting a weekly blog post from Thursday 15 September at 10:00am and every Thursday thereafter until the end of term. We will keep you up to date with important accommodation announcements and events through the blog and via our Facebook page.
Speak to a member of the team
If you need to speak to a member of the Accommodation Office then come along to our drop-in sessions. We will be available for the next two weeks between 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday to Friday. You can join our queue by visiting the Student Information Desk in The Forum and then have an appointment with us.
