Today’s blog is probably one that many of you have been waiting for because we are now looking through our ‘pre-arrival request to move’.
Our pre-arrival request to move
We have had a limited number of rooms that have become available and are now reviewing our ‘pre-arrival request to move’ list. We will be looking at requests from students who fell within our Accommodation Guarantee and we will be contacting certain students by telephone who wished to move to one of our available rooms in due course. Please note that when we come to offer rooms or contact students from this list it will processed by a random selection and we therefore do not take into consideration the date that you were added to our record.
If you have not been contacted by us then your name will remain on our ‘Request to move’ list and we will contact you if a room becomes available.
We still have rooms available. If you are a new student who is joining the University of Exeter and require accommodation from September for the full academic year then we do still have rooms available to offer. Please contact us for more information about the accommodation available. We are available by telephoning 0300 555 0444 between 8:45am-5:15pm until Friday of this week. Please see our website for information about what type of rooms are available.
Mexican, BBQ and Curry Nights
All new arrivals are invited to come along to our Residence Life Team events which will be taking place across the Arrivals Weekend of 15-17 September.
- Mexican Night – Friday 15 September
- BBQ Night – Saturday 16 September
- Curry Night – Sunday 17 September
These events will each be held at both La Touche (behind Cornwall House) and or Birks Grange Village between 7:00pm-8:30pm. A vegetarian option will be available.
Tickets for these events cost £5.00 and can be purchased on the day in advance through the Residence Life Team website or upon arrival, this will include your food. You will need to provide your own drinks. They are a great opportunity to get to know people in your flat and within your residence.
These events can be attended by any students including those staying within Rowancroft, off-campus accommodation, any nominated residences or within private housing in the city. A full list of events can be found on the Guild Freshers’ page.
