Today’s blog is a rather practical one we’re afraid! We will be discussing accommodation fees, rent rebates and studying remotely.
As many of you will have seen, due to changes in academic term start date this year (especially for our Postgraduate students), the payment due dates have been changed for all of those in Exeter based accommodation to give you that little bit of extra time to pay your fees. Our new payment schedule can be seen below:

|Term two||18 January 2021|
|Term three||3 May 2021|
(51 week contracts only)
|21 June 2021|
If you are in private accommodation or one of our nominated properties you will need to speak to your provider directly if you have any queries about dates.
For undergraduates that arrived after the 13th September due to our covid safety measures during the arrivals period, we will be applying a rent rebate for the period that you weren’t in your accommodation. This will be added to your account as a credit before term 2 begins.
Similarly, if you’re a postgraduate student, you will receive a rent rebate if you have (or plan to) arrive between 13 September and 10 October, we will offer a refund and not charge you until you arrive at your accommodation. If you’re arriving on or after 11 October, a maximum of four weeks rent rebate will be offered as a credit to your account before the start of term 2.

Whilst the accommodation office team are not currently available for face to face appointments, we are still working remotely and can offer either a zoom or telephone appointment if you query is related to any general accommodation questions.
We are available Monday to Friday at the following times:
Term one – 10:00am – 3:00pm
Term two – 11:00am – 3:00pm
Term three – 11:00am – 1:00pm
To request an appointment please:
- Log in to SID Online with your IT username and password via the web or app version of iExeter.
- Go to ‘Ask a Question’ and then ‘Log an enquiry’.
- Under category, pick ‘Accommodation Appointment Request’. You should see a form to complete with a series of drop-down menus.
- After clicking “Log an enquiry” from these pages you should see a form to complete with a series of drop-down menus.
- Complete and submit the enquiry.
We will then advise you of the confirmed appointment time.
