Decayed Hollow Oak Tree Retained for Wildlife Habitat

Unfortunately this Oak tree on the Birks Bank Arboretum has decayed and is hollow inside the trunk.

However, in line with our biodiversity policy, we have decided not to fell it but retain it as a wildlife habitat.
