Celebrating Green Flag Award 2019/20!

The Grounds Team have proudly celebrated the successful re-achievement of  the prestigious Green Flag Award for 2019/20 for our beautiful Streatham Campus and St Luke’s Campus.

The Award is the mark of a quality park or green space which has achieved the international standards for open space excellence and reflects the hard work that our dedicated team put into maintaining and nurturing our grounds to the highest standards.

Streatham Campus receives the award for the eighth consecutive year and St Luke’s Campus for the sixth consecutive year.

Good luck to Anthony Cockell, our amazing Deputy Grounds Operations Manager, who has been shortlisted in the Impact category of the Professional Services Recognition Awards 2019.

The Impact Award recognises a colleague or team who has made the exceptional happen, requires disruptive thinking, fresh ways of working and solutions with impact.

Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony tonight. Good luck Anthony; we have our green fingers crossed for you!

Exeter in Bloom 2018 Silver Gilt Award

We are delighted to announce that Exeter in Bloom received a Silver Gilt Award in the South West Tourism Cup category of the 2018 Britain in Bloom. The University is a key partner in Exeter’s application and David Evans, the Grounds Team’s Grounds and Sports Operations Manager, represented the University to receive the award at the Presentation Ceremony in Yeovil yesterday.

We are delighted to announce that once again we have been awarded the Green Flag Award for both our Streatham Campus and our St Luke’s Campus; a sign to visitors, staff and students that the grounds are maintained and managed to the highest standards with excellent facilities.

The Award reflects the hard work that our dedicated Grounds staff put into maintaining the University’s grounds and we are all extremely proud of this achievement and the beautiful grounds we work in.
