Not a picture of ours this time, but a link to a website chock full of fascinating historical pictures of the Duryard area, including some pictures of Reed Hall, or Streatham Hall as it once was.

Judas Tree, Duryard
The lawn at Duryard is a fabulous open space (which can be booked for outdoor events through our online booking system). It also contains a wonderfully eccentric Judas Tree, Cercis siliquastrum, which seems to be growing along the lawn.
The tree was blown over, many years ago, during a storm. It was propped up, about a metre off the ground where is stayed for a while, but eventually came to lay on the ground in its current position.
It is clearly quite happy in its current position, as you can see it is in full leaf.
New Planting Project at Duryard by Grounds Outer Areas Team
The Outer Areas Team were busy over the winter months with a new planting project around the stone table at Duryard and we are all now enjoying the fruits (or rather flowers!) of their labour.
