The Department of Classics and Ancient History at the University of Exeter is pleased to host the Experience Through Metaphor Symposium: cultural histories of emotion and the body in antiquity.ย

This online one-day symposium on Friday 18th March 2022 seeks to explore the cultural responses and metaphors of the relationships between bodies and emotions in the ancient world, and the theoretical approaches which we as scholars can use to understand these issues.

Our keynote will be given by Dr Chiara Blanco (University of Edinburgh), title TBC.
