Leaving on a Jet Plane

Aruba, Jamaica, Ooooh I want to take ya
Bermuda, Bahamas, come on pretty mama!
Key Largo, Montego, baby why don’t we go?

Well for 28 students from the University of Exeter the wait is almost over! With some of us starting our journeys across the Atlantic at 9:45 tomorrow morning the excitement has well and truly kicked in.

Sunglasses check, mask and snorkel check, passport check, quadrat check, dive log book check and GoPro check! Now that I have packed my bag and double checked that I have remembered everything it’s time to have one last night in Essex and then get an early night for my early drive to Heathrow at 6:00 AM.

I will be keeping you up to date with our antics during our time in the Bahamas with pictures, videos and twitter/facebook posts.

But for now I shall leave you with the words of John Denver:

“All my bags are packed, I’m ready to go, I’m standing here outside your door, I hate to wake you up to say goodbye……So kiss me and smile for me, Tell me that you’ll wait for me, Hold me like you’ll never let me go, Cause I’m leaving on a Jet plane.”
