Leading laboratory scientists from Exeter Blood Sciences will collaborate in a series of visits to aid the MRC/UVRI & LSHTM Uganda Research Unit – an internationally recognized center of excellence for research on HIV infection and related diseases,to successfully transition from a centre dealing solely with communicable disease to a centre which can use gold standard testing to research the growing burden of diabetes in SSA.
