Summer Schools and Short-term Opportunities
Each academic year, the International Development Team advertise a wide variety of short-term study abroad opportunities.
Typically students can spend 2-6 weeks studying with one of our partner universities or recommended institutions. A typical summer school might include academically-focused courses, often in a specialist area depending on the region or university you join; company visits; language tuition and a cultural and social programme.
Further details for current students are available on the Business School Study Abroad ELE page: business-school.ex.ac.uk/studyabroad.
For undergraduate students, on a select number of short-term study abroad programmes, credit transfer through the ‘Summer School Study Abroad Experience’ module (BUS2003) is possible, with prior agreement of the International Development Team. This allows 1st and 2nd year undergraduate students to transfer 15 Exeter credits towards their next academic year. All student applications for credit transfer through BUS2003 will be considered on a case by case basis.
Any queries should be directed to the International Development Team in Streatham Court room 0.27 or via: b
All summer schools charge a fee, but this varies depending on institution. Some programmes are available on an exchange basis, and so no fee is payable. Other partners offer a discounted fee to Exeter students. You may also be eligible to apply for scholarship funding through the University, or for Business School bursaries. More details will be available closer to the time of application.
Please note that different short term study abroad opportunities are aimed at different levels and application process will differ.
Interested students should contact the Business School International Development Team in the first instance for details about the nomination and application process.
Current students may access information on the Business School Study Abroad ELE page: business-school.ex.ac.uk/studyabroad. This is updated with information for the current academic year in December, but also contains archived information from past years.
