Introducing Summer 2021 Project Team

Exeter STEM beyond boundaries is a pilot project in the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences at the University of Exeter that encourages the incorporation of public engagement in academic practice to promote the idea that science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers are within reach. Primarily targeting young women, this project aims to increase accessibility and remove the misconceptions around who exactly is welcome within STEM. Exeter STEM beyond boundaries is working with six female students from the University of Exeter who study a wide variety of STEM subjects. The students are working alongside the project lead Dr Houry Melkonian to inspire the next generation of girls in STEM. In this blog, the team members introduce themselves and some of the reasons they wanted to be involved.
