New paper: Multi-resistance genes in active nonferrous metal(loid) tailings

A new paper, entitled ‘Metagenomic exploration of multi-resistance genes linked to microbial attributes in active nonferrous metal(loid) tailings’, has been published in Environmental Pollution. The paper was written by Jian-li Liu from the China University of Geosciences and seven co-authors (including Karen Hudson-Edwards). The work showed that Multi-metal resistance genes and antibiotic resistance genes were found to be co-selected by high concentrations of metal(loid)s in the tailings. You can freely access the paper here until March 14th, 2021.
