The Department of Economics at Smith College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin July 1, 2017. Candidates should have a strong foundation in the economies of East Asia, with particular interest in the economy of China. Teaching responsibilities for this position will regularly include courses in the Chinese economy, along with a selection of microeconomics, macroeconomics and/or statistics at the introductory level or intermediate level. Other courses may be taught depending upon the candidate’s field of specialization. Ph.D. in Economics or relevant field is required by the time of appointment.
