The University of Nottingham and the Research Institute for Development, Growth and Economics (RIDGE) invites Latin American students with a master’s degree in economics to submit their application to do a PhD in Economics at the University of Nottingham with full funding (fees + annual stipend of (approx. £ 17,000) in exchange for a relatively low time consuming teaching or research assistance.
The Nottingham University School of Economics is considered one of the best economics departments in the world. According to the IDEAS-RePEc ranking, Nottingham is 35 in the world, 11 in Europe and 5 in the United Kingdom. Its researchers cover a wide variety of topics and fields of economics and publish in the best international journals. It is particularly strong in the fields of Behavioural Economics (top 2 worldwide), International Economics (top 24 worldwide, top 6 in Europe) and Political Economy (top 24, top 6 in Europe), and more recently in Macroeconomics. To apply for the scholarship, the following requirements must be met: • Master’s degree. • ELTS of 7.0 (not less than 6.0 for each component) or a score greater than 25 in TOELF. The closing date for applications is January 15, 2020.
