Our 2015/16 programme is specially designed for professionals and aspiring leaders who wish to take stock and reflect on their careers, then identify their aspirations and leverage their strengths to transform themselves. As you join the programme, you will start by articulating your aims and values, and work with your mentor and career coach to identify and benefit from new opportunities. You will upgrade your skills, develop your knowledge and acquire an entrepreneurial mindset to explore new directions.

You will gain a thorough understanding of the global economic, environmental and social challenges that business faces in the 21st century. Our One Planet MBA will help you to identify new ways of succeeding in a hyper competitive and interconnected world through product, process and business model innovation that leverage opportunities brought about by emerging economic models, such as the “sharing economy”, the “circular economy” and the “on demand” economy.

NEW for 2015: Helping you Make the Most of your MBA

An MBA is an intensive and life-changing experience, and returning to education after several years in the workplace can be a challenging transition. To ensure you are fully prepared for the challenges ahead, we are offering a three-week pre-MBA foundation programme to help you articulate your aims, upgrade your skills and get ready for the MBA.  The three-week pre-MBA course is compulsory and starts on 1st September 2015. The programme includes

• Professional Skills classes on academic and business writing, presenting and communicating for impact
• Quantitative Skills workshops for professional managers and the start of career workshops and career coaching, as well as an introduction to the MBA
• the third week involves an optional, Accounting and Finance pre-sessional course entitled “Taking the Fear Out of Accounting and Finance” for those of you in need of refreshing your understanding of finance concepts and principles.  You will need to register separately for this course.

NEW for 2015: Personal Transformations, Emerging Business Models and Analytics

Our award-winning One Planet MBA sees the introduction of new modules and workshops in 2015 to help you “change for good”:

• Our year-long Personal Transformations module will not only help you acquire and refine professional skills from start ups to boardrooms , but also leverage your strengths and benefit from new opportunities through personal mentoring and career coaching
• Our new module on Emerging Business Models will help you and your organisation identify ways of succeeding in an interconnected world by applying principles from the sharing economy, the circular economy and the on demand economy that are disrupting so many firms and industries
• Our Analytics module has seen its popularity increase over the years, and in 2015 we will be offering a suite of practical modules and workshops to help you understand big data and enable you to generate actionable, commercial insights from large datasets (for example, data on customers’ shopping patterns) to benefit your projects and your organisation. • Many of our MBA participants go on and create their own venture after the programme, and we support them through our Entrepreneurship and Intrapreneurship suite of modules which we are expanding further in 2015. In Search, Select and Fund you will be supported from the generation of an idea to the production of the business plan all the way to pitching your project and securing funding for it. In Managing Innovation and Entrepreneurship, you will find out how change can be ignited again in organisations that seem to have lost their ability to innovate again.

As always, the use throughout the One Planet MBA of highly practical forms of assessment means that you can apply your learning to your own personal project back in your organisation, and bring your own ideas with you as you immerse yourself in our international innovation immersion project overseas.

Despite this, our One Planet MBA is truly global: it hosts participants from 17 nationalities every year, from Latin America to Africa, Europe to Asia.
