We plan for an in-person meeting with an option of remote attendance for a reduced fee. If regulations due to the COVID19 pandemic prevent the in-person option from going ahead, we will inform the participants and switch to an online-only format (with a refund of the difference between the in-person and online conference fee).

Travelling to Exeter:

By air

The city of Exeter is served by its own airport. Please see this link for a list of UK and international destinations that are served directly. Ground transportation is required to get between Exeter airport and the city centre/University of Exeter. Please see this link for local bus, taxi and car hire options.

The nearby city of Bristol has a larger airport which serves a larger number of direct destinations. If you choose to fly into Bristol Airport, there is a direct “South West Falcon” coach service. Alternatively, the Airport Flyer bus can take you to Bristol Temple Meads train station from which you can catch a direct train to Exeter St Davids train station.

Visitors travelling from destinations not served by Exeter or Bristol airports may consider flying into London Heathrow. From London Heathrow, you can either take a National Express coach directly from your terminal to Exeter city centre or take the Heathrow Express train service to London Paddington from which you can catch a train to Exeter St Davids. Please note that you must book a place on the National Express coaches prior to boarding, either at the ticket office at Heathrow Terminals 2/3 or online.

By rail

Exeter is served by two main train stations: Exeter Central (serving locations along the south of England) and Exeter St Davids (serving locations to the north). You can use the National Rail Enquiries or the “public transport” options on Google maps to help plan your journey.

By road

Exeter City Bus and Coach Station is served by National Express and Megabus services.

For visitors wishing to travel by car, Exeter is easily accessible from the M5 motorway (junctions 29 and 30). The recommended postcode for the University of Exeter’s Streatham Campus for your Satellite Navigation system is EX4 4QJ.
