The Operating in Future Electromagnetic Environments Symposium (OFEME) is a two-day event run by DSTL to bring together government scientists, military personnel, industry researched and academics to share ideas about how technology can ensure control of the electromagnetic spectrum in an increasingly congested and contested world. Four of our CDT PhD students: James Capers, Kyle Arnold, Jon Smith and Jenner Gudge-Brooke, presented posters at the event with Kyle winning first place in the poster prize for his poster on ‘Angular Response of Anomalous Reflection Metasurfaces’.
Jon reflects on the event:
It was really interesting seeing the other side of things, interacting with non-academics interested in the topic gives you an appreciation for how much you’ve learned
Kyle gives his perspective:
An excellent event, showcasing how our research can be used to solve real world problems. I had many insightful conversations with members of industry, academia and DSTL. I was pleased to achieve 1st place in the poster competition amongst many other outstanding entries. I look forward to next year!
Congratulations to Kyle!
