While the majority of CRISPR conferences are focused on mechanisms and applications, this meeting will be focused on the evolutionary ecology of CRISPR-Cas adaptive immune systems of bacteria and archaea. The ecological and evolutionary impacts of CRISPR-Cas systems are broad and diverse and vary greatly across ecosystems and host organisms. This meeting will bring together scientists from diverse background, from leaders in the field to young scientists and encourage lots of discussions, in a friendly, open and inclusive atmosphere.
