I have broad reseach interests having underkaken a PhD in granite petrology and projects on granite-associated mineralisation, environmental impacts of mining-related activities, volcanology, and health implications of occupational exposure to dusts. This is reflected in my varied teaching which includes lectures on igneous and metamorphic petrology, environmental mineralogy and mineral deposits.
