Congratulations Johannes and Gabriel!

Johannes Meusburger has successfully defended his thesis and been recommended for the award of PhD following completion of minor amendments. He gave a good defence of his work with Dr Paul Schofield (Natural History Museum) as the external examiner, and Prof Ben Williamson as internal examiner.  We thank Dr Kate Littler for acting as the independent viva chair. Supervisors: Prof Karen Hudson-Edwards, Dr Rich Crane, Dominic Fortes (ISIS Neutron and Muon Source),  Chiu Tang (Diamond Light Source). Johannes is now starting a postdoctoral position with NASA.

Gabriel Ziwa has successfully defended his thesis and been recommended for the award of PhD following completion of minor amendments. He gave a good defence of his work with Prof Andrew Hursthouse (University of the West of Scotland) as the external examiner, and Prof Frances Wall as internal examiner.  We thank Dr Kate Moore for acting as the independent viva chair. Supervisors: Prof Karen Hudson-Edwards and Dr Rich Crane. Gabriel is now returning to Zambia to starting a job in the mining industry.
