Year 9 students from Penryn, Pool and Poltair Schools attended our Environment and Sustainability Day on the 5th February at the ESI at our Penryn Campus.
They took part in a workshop that was jointly run by CSM and the English department focused on the Red River. The first part of the workshop involved a mineral quiz to identify local minerals that give cause the rivers red colour and also learnt about how acid mine drainage can be neutralised. The second part involved students exploring their feelings and reactions to the red river and minerals to help them write some excellent poetry.
