The promotion of single-use plastic in healthcare is about reducing the chances of cross-infection; however a similar dynamic can now be found in the sphere of domestic retail consumption and waste disposal as the pandemic unfolds. How should we think about responsibility, consumption and plastic-use in the centre of a major disease outbreak?
