CHANGE: email communication

Our goal

Our project was initially to find out if there was a way to help students to organise their emails since students receive e-mails from many sources such as promotions, accommodation etc. Mainly, we wanted a better link of essential information, such as changes to lectures.

Leading Change with Challenges

However we realised that involves outlook365 and there isn’t much we could do about it. After meeting up with people working on the iExeter app in our university, it seems that one of the best changes that we could make is to allow for pop-ups/notifications when there is a change in timetable such as a cancellation of lecture. This was further supported by our survey results when we found that almost all the students in class wanted to be notified about their lectures.

In the future

• Project objectives shifted after the second meeting to ease further the integration within the whole iExeter app
• It will be implemented over a period of 1-2 years
• Future contact with development team to ensure successful implementation
