Judith graduated from the University of Jena, Germany, in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She worked for 10 months at the University of Sydney, Australia, as part of her Master’s program in 2014. In her Master’s thesis she examined diet-induced inflammatory changes in the CNS and the role in neurodegeneration.

In September 2016 Judith started a PhD as part of the Exeter Doctoral Training Centre (DTC) funded by the Alzheimer’s Society. Her research focus lies in imaging CNS vascular changes and blood brain barrier integrity in mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease. For her studies Judith uses the in vivo two-photon imaging technique for high-resolution imaging of brain structures. As part of her PhD Judith worked for 9 months at Eli Lilly and Company.
