Guidelines for abstract preparation
Richard Kindersley, Abstract
Fitting your abstract beautifully together – relief of curves and circles symbolising modernity, technology and communication.

Please download the abstract template and follow the instructions. Please save your abstract file name with your name in it (e.g. replacing ‘template’ with your name). The presenting author is expected to attend the meeting and is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission. Abstracts which do not comply with the guidelines will be returned directly to the contact author for correction before they can enter the reviewing process.

Guidelines for abstract submission

Abstract files in Word format (.doc or .docx) are to be submitted by the presenting author via the online Registration System for a specific Session. Please refer to the list of sessions and subtopics listed in the Scientific Program.

No more than 2 abstracts by the same presenting author can be submitted.

Abstracts can be accepted either as poster, or as oral communication. Please choose at most 1 oral preference per presenting author. No more than one of several abstracts by the same presenting author can be considered for oral presentation. Please indicate the position of the presenting author in the author list (default is 1).

IMPORTANT: It has been apparent that some delegates have been experiencing problems with the online registration server, particularly so with the uploading of documents. If you encounter the issue, please first try another browser (e.g. Chrome instead of Safari). If this is still not solving the issue, please complete Stage 1 for all sections that are appropriate to you (including title, session, etc), but without attaching the document(s). You will then be able to proceed without any problem. Once you have received an email confirming your successful completion of Stage 1, please either use the contact form or email your abstract(s) to Miss Emma Clarke at , quoting your booking reference / order number e.g EXE000000.

Please note that abstracts sent by fax or regular mail will not be accepted. For technical questions regarding your abstract submission and for any other queries, please contact the .

Reviewing process

Abstracts will be reviewed by the scientific organisers. The Scientific Organising Committee reserves the right to re-categorize the abstract (i.e. from oral to poster, and for a different Session).

Due to limited space, acceptance of late poster abstracts received after the 5th March extended deadline will be decided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Notification regarding the status of your abstract acceptance (oral, poster or rejected) will be sent to the contact author by mid-April 2017. Details on poster format and full presentation guidelines will be made available on the website.

In the event that the contact author cannot attend and give the accepted presentation (oral or poster), then it is possible to designate an alternative presenting author attending the conference from the coauthor list, and the presentation will be a poster presentation, otherwise the abstract will need to be withdrawn. Please contact the before 5th June 2017.
